pilates

A movement philosophy designed to help develop strength, flexibility and endurance without building bulk. Muscles are trained evenly to avoid imbalance which can cause strain on joints which also makes it excellent for those with hypermobility. Often recommended by osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists and GPs as one of the safest forms of low impact exercise, it can benefit everyone, no matter their age, fitness level or experience.

My foundation training was with STOTT PILATES®, a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates.  Since this initial training I have honed my craft by attending various workshops and conferences, as well as studying online and attending classes with a variety of instructors.  Thus you benefit from a blend of styles and techniques from different pilates schools as well as other movement disciplines.

“Sessions with Paulette have been completely invigorating.  I used to go to yoga classes, but have found pilates much more effective, especially with Paulette’s approach. I can’t recommend her more highly.”
